this post is gonna be mostly about softball training today
and it's going to be an extremely LONG post
trust me (:

long story short, training was heaven yet hell. im not exaggerating. let me start from the front then.

when i was in the bus stop waiting for the bus someone came. that person lives near me btw
then i saw that person in the bus
then i saw that person in the mrt station
bought old chang kee for my lunch :D
but by the time i reached school the food was cold
so sad. sniff sniff.
then i went to buy bubble tea even though i knew i would regret it later on
and i really regretted it

during warm-up i had this terrible stitch
then after that the torture began ):
coach zhang took the stronger people, which truthfully, was only 4 people, while coach jo took the rest of us
then coach zhang took a second look at the stronger ppl and was like, in chinese, they're all malay!
haha
then she kept asking coach jo to take them instead
but then coach jo convinced her to try to speak english to them :D

then we did so much stuff i forgot the order
i shall say them in anachronism order then
is that correct? i think so.
she made us run so much lah
we had to catch her ball then throw it to the net
but then cause we missed alot of the balls she threw
she started throwing balls at us which we had to catch
like 10 of them or something
then i kept catching the under-waist balls the way im supposed to catch the above-waist balls
so she made me do push-ups twice
and she was so mad at most of us for not counting/catching correctly/not swinging elbows, etc that she asked most of them to stand one side
then the only people left were me and cristal

which you know, makes its worse
cause at first got 4 ppl
now 2
then we had to run so much
so after my turn i only got to rest for like 5 secs
i was panting the whole 2 or 3 hrs lah!

then after that had to run alot AGAIN and catch grounders
which i missed the balls alot
so i had to redo like 5 times?
and the thing was that every one you catch is considered one. if you miss then not considered.
and i missed like half of the balls?
so i had to do 12 times instead of six
gahhhhh!
but she did compliment me twice i think
but it still sucked
it's TEN times worse than running 2.4
it's SO MUCH MORE WORSE THAN RUNNING 5 KM
it was the WORST training ever
worse than physical.
but i could feel that i really improved

then we did throwing
i did with ruzanna
sorry ruz, for throwing all those aim-less balls
but coach complimented me twice again
which really surprised me
cause i was throwing like shit
just my luck that she looked at me when i was throwing correctly

and then FINALLY after like 3 hrs (i skipped quite alot of details)
we did batting
the time when things started looking up
coach and coach zhang scolded me twice. grr.
but it was worth it
cause i improved so much after that few scoldings abt the batting motion
coach complimented me a few times
like abt 5 times?
yeah i know
i couldnt believe it either
so she let me try batting without the t-stand with natasha woots! ~
which was soo fun :D
BATTINGROCKSSOMUCHMORETHANTHROWING

points to take note of:
batting;
1) pointing after batting really helps (:

2) dont pivot too much. i overturn when batting

3) make sure my elbows, knee and feet turn at the same time

4) dont look at coach instead of the ball larh. that was the worst mistake someone could ever make.

5) allow your left leg to pivot too (:

6) bat swing out first then concentrate on pivoting PROPERLY

7) dont lean to your left. balance more on your hind legs
(if that's how you phrase it :D)

8) my legs are WEAK. my right leg keeps widening the gap between my right and left legs.

9) dont open my legs too wide

10) focus on hitting the ball

hmm. im sure there was more. but i just forgot
im too lazy to write all these in my softball notebook lahhhhh
can dont write?
that question is so stupid
of course we must write lah

things to work on:
1. push-ups and sit-ups
2. strengthen my legs
3. work on my throwing
4. work on my catching (GROUNDERS!)
5. practise batting
oh yah did i mention that coach lent/gave me this tiny softball with faded seams
its tiny
made of sponge
it smells like the pe storeroom :D
anyway
6. use the tiny softball to throw against the wall and practise catching/throwing it

so now you understand why this training was erk! yet ahhh...?
3/4 of the trng SUCKED
1/4 of it ROCKED
then coach gave us this japanese cracker thing cause we improved/tried our best :DD
and she still owes me 20 bucks
